Deep Inside Kinect


There it is, folks. The eyes inside Microsoft's recently released Kinect peripheral. I'm sure some of you have gone hands-off with the device already but the guys over at iFixit have disassembled a unit of their own for a closer look:
Among some of the more interesting observations the team made regarding the device is the inclusion of four microphones, 64 MB of Hynix DDR2 SDRAM, and a fan which, they admit, might be Microsoft being "paranoid about heat dissipation" considering Kinect uses a whopping 12 watts of power to operate.
